Abstract

Frank Heath is a writer, musician and historian who has published in magazines and newspapers and has soloed with various symphony orchestras. He has spoken about Iowa town bands and Iowa history, interviewed 25 farm families in Iowas Poweshiek County about growing up in the 20s, 30s, and 40s, and published a book of their stories. He is a founding member (on trombone) of Grinnell, Iowas Prairie Jewel Dixieland Band and the Basement Brass Quintet.
